The famous historian `sho hammer’ pointed out that in AD 1568 St. Francis Xavier constructed church in Mampally which was dedicated to the Holy Spirit .The Parish priest Rev. Fr. E. Wilfred put forward the idea of constructing a new church which was completed and inaugurated on 13th August 1995
